Designer. Visionary. Legacy Builder.

Kenya Freeman is the creative force behind Sylvia Mollie, an American lifestyle brand rooted in bold femininity, purpose, and power. As a designer and CEO, Kenya creates transitional ready‑to‑wear pieces, statement handbags, and footwear for women who aren’t trying to stand out — they’re ready to step fully into themselves.

Sylvia Mollie is named for the two women who shaped her: her mother Sylvia and grandmother Mollie. Their strength, resilience, and unwavering belief in possibility live in every stitch, silhouette, and story Kenya brings to life.

Born in Norfolk, VA, Kenya discovered her creative spark early. She began her studies at Norfolk State University and later earned her Fashion Design degree from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta. Her rise has been defined by grit and grace — from a breakout collection at WWD Magic in 2013, to the City of Atlanta’s Emerging Artist Award in 2016, to becoming a top finalist on Project Runway Season 16, a moment that expanded her reach and affirmed her calling.

Kenya’s influence spans global brands and cultural icons. She has designed a sold‑out plus‑size collection for Torrid, become a top‑selling designer for SHEIN, and collaborated with Ford, Toyota, Essence Magazine, Carebear, and Hallmark Mahogany. As a Brand Ambassador, she has represented industry pillars including Kai Scissors, Juki Sewing Machines, Jiffy Steamers, A&E Threads, YKK Zippers, Oliso Irons, Iron Matic, Goodwill, and Alvanon Dress Forms.

In 2023, Kenya expanded her mission with The Cut & Sew Collective, a fashion consulting agency helping brands build, scale, and thrive. Her nonprofit, I’m Sew Fantastic, uplifts young designers ages 9-15 through mentorship, hands‑on workshops, and community outreach.

Her latest initiative, My Size, celebrates women sizes 10–20 with elevated, empowering pieces that honor real bodies and real lives. Kenya’s design philosophy is simple and profound: Style is a language — and she helps women speak boldly, beautifully, and without apology.

Featured in Time Magazine, Essence, WWD, and The Atlanta Journal‑Constitution, Kenya Freeman is not just designing clothes. She’s designing a legacy of confidence, culture, and possibility.
